6 Weeks – 16 - Months Care for Infants
SLP Kids’ Place Pre-K offers full-day child care Monday-Friday, year-round, for infants ages 6 weeks through 16 months. This classroom is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services and is located within Central Community Center. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 4:1 and our maximum group size is 8 infants. Part time schedules are not available for this age group. Registration is ongoing as space becomes available. Families may add to our wait list on a first-come, first-served basis.
17 – 32 Months - Care for Toddlers
SLP Kids’ Place Pre-K offers full-day child care Monday-Friday, year-round, for toddler-age children 16-33 months. This classroom is licensed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services and is located within Central Community Center. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 7:1 and our maximum group size is 14 children. Part time schedules are not available for this age group. Registration is ongoing as space becomes available. Once full, families may add to our wait list on a first-come, first-served basis.
33 Months – 5 Years - Care for Preschoolers
SLP Kids’ Place Pre- K offers full-day child care, year-round, 2-5 days per week at Central and Lenox Community Centers. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 10:1 and our maximum group size ranges from 20-22 children. We offer working families the same high quality preschool experience you can expect from other district preschool programs in an extended day format. Registration opens in March for the following school year and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once full, registration is ongoing and a wait list is created.
Kindergarten - Care for Kindergarteners
Kids’ Place offers children in kindergarten a fun place to spend time with their friends before or after school. Children who attend half-day kindergarten will attend the Central Community Center location and will take the bus from Central to and from school. Students attend full-day kindergarten will attend before and after school care on site at the school of attendance. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 12:1. Whether your child is enrolled in full or half-day kindergarten, our program has a schedule option that will meet your family’s needs. The enrollment period for kindergarten care follows the school year calendar. Registration opens at Kindergarten Roundup in March.
Grades 1-5 - Care for children in grades 1-5
Kids’ Place offers children in grades 1 - 5 a fun place to spend time with friends before and after school on site at their school of attendance. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 15:1. Kids’ Place provides full-day programming for children in grades K - 5 on school release days. Kids’ Place also offers before or after school programming for children in grades K - 5 on early release and late start days. Registration opens in March for the following school year.
Grade 6 - Care of children in grade 6
Kids’ Place offers children in grade 6 a fun place to spend time with friends before and after school at Central Community Center. Students will ride the bus to and from Central to the Junior High School. The maximum student-to-staff ratio is 15:1. Kids’ Place provides full-day programming for children in grade 6 on school release days. Kids’ Place also offers before or after school programming for children in grade 6 on early release and late start days. Registration opens in March for the following school year.

SBK* $43.25 per day
Kindergarten $38.75 per day
Grades 1-6 $36.00 per day
In addition to the daily fee, there is a one-time registration and materials fee of $25.
Fee includes: t-shirt, water bottle, money holder, sunscreen, and grade-level workbook.

Meals
A beverage at lunch and an afternoon snack are provided and included in the daily fees. Children bring a lunch from home each day.
NEW! SBK (Summer Before Kindergarten)
A summer preschool class for students who will be heading to kindergarten the following fall. Children will spend ten weeks counting down to their first day in the Big K while teachers help them transition out of typical preschool routines. This SBK class will pair with our summer kindergarten class for field trips and other group activities. Your child does not need to have been previously enrolled in Kids’ Place to join this class. This class is held at Central Community Center. Registration opens each year in March.
Summer Care for K-6
Kids’ Place provides full-day fun for students in grades K-6 during the summer months at Central Community Center. Registration opens each year in March.
